Dr. Daryl Moran - Historian

Daryl Moran is a writer and historian with over 40 years of experience in the field of education in Melbourne and India. He has broad experience as a senior educator and administrator, public speaker, and in leadership with Rotary International. He has had a long interest in military and especially aviation war history, convening conferences concerned with Australian air power in both world wars for Military History & Heritage Victoria Inc. and is a published author with Empire’s Noble Son (2018), a biography of an Australian WWI pilot in the Royal Flying Corps. He is currently the editor, with Andrew Kilsby, of In the Fight: Australians and the War in Burma 1942-1945 (Big Sky 2024) and co-writer with Andrew Kilsby of Resolute: Australian aircrew and the War in Burma 1942-1945.
